As part of the MVV 3 (Main Valve Vendor 3) project, SAMSON was again named as the key supplier for control valves, rotary plug valves, and ball valves by BASF. The contract runs through 2018 with an option to extend it for another two years until 2020. The contract is based on the successful cooperation in the previous MVV 2 project between 2010 and 2015.
Under the MVV 3 project, BASF simplifies the procurement of standard valves for maintenance and service as well as for small and medium projects. The cost of purchasing are reduced by awarding orders directly and procuring certain valve types from selected suppliers. Bidding procedures are still in place for large projects, yet the partners involved in the MVV 3 project are preferred.
By winning the MVV 3 contract, SAMSON cements and further expands its position as one of the leading valve suppliers to BASF worldwide.
