SAMSON Takes On Vocational Trainees From Insolvent Manroland

Frankfurt am Main, 19 June 2026 – After the insolvency of Manroland, a leading manufacturer of printing presses located in Offenbach, SAMSON AG will take on seven of Manroland's vocational trainees in July.

In April this year, Manroland, which employees around 750 people, announced that it was closing its Offenbach site due to financial losses. The factory is set to close before the end of 2026. A majority of the workforce will lose their jobs.

SAMSON has stepped in to allow seven Manroland vocational trainees to continue their training at SAMSON as of 1 July. This also enables SAMSON to fill training positions from 2024 and 2025 that remained vacant. The trainees (one woman and six men) are learning the trades CNC machining and industrial mechanics. They are scheduled to complete their training in 2028 and 2029 depending on which year of training they are currently in.

Today, Dr. Dominic Deller, CFO at SAMSON AG, officially greeted 41 young people, who will start their training at SAMSON in September 2026. They were given a first insight into the company and the training workshops.

These trainees will move with the rest of the company to the new site in Offenbach in early 2027. A modern training center, which is currently under construction at the new site, will offer even better conditions for vocational training in technical jobs at SAMSON.

This hiring initiative demonstrates SAMSON's commitment to vocational training, offering career opportunities and securing jobs for skilled workers in industry in the Rhine-Main region.

Currently, around 90 young people at SAMSON are completing their vocational training or work-and-study program. SAMSON offers a wide variety of training opportunities in technical and commercial careers. They include industrial mechanics, CNC machining, mechatronics, technical product design and process mechanics, business administration and warehousing. Additionally, the company offers work-and-study programs in the field of mechanical engineering, mechatronics, software technology and industrial engineering with business studies.
