SAMSON Acquires SED

On 7 September 2017, the specialist valve company SED Flow Control GmbH headquartered in Bad Rappenau, Germany joined SAMSON. With this acquisition, SAMSON adds valves for the pharmaceuticals and biotech as well as the food and beverages markets to its product range.
“By acquiring SED, we will further strengthen our leading role in the pharmaceuticals and biotech sector and consistently drive digitized process automation based on smart, networked valve technology by SAMSON in these markets as well“, said Dr. Andreas Widl, CEO of SAMSON.
SED relies on 100 highly skilled employees to develop and manufacture metal diaphragm valves for aseptic service as well as metal and plastic diaphragm and angle seat valves for industrial applications. The product range also includes positioners, solenoid valves, signal transmitters, and flow meters. The acquisition gives SAMSON SED access to a worldwide sales and service network.
